Under the hood
1/5 Timer
EventBridge starts the checker Lambda every 20 minutes.
How it works
A timer starts the checker. It reads the booking site for your dates all day, so you do not have to reload the page.
An alert fires only when one journey has seats for everyone in your party. Not just one seat.
When seats open, you get an email. The link goes to the official booking page. You book there.
PB Watch never books or pays for you. It only reads the public booking pages.
You sign in with a 6-digit code sent to your email. There is no password to lose.
Pay A$10 once with Stripe. No subscription.
Puffing Billy is a steam railway near Melbourne. Popular days sell out about a month ahead. The booking site has no waiting list and no alert. PB Watch fills that gap. You give it your dates and the size of your party. It checks the booking site every 20 minutes. When a date has enough seats for your whole party, it emails you a link to the booking page. PB Watch only reads the site. It never books or pays for you. It is an unofficial service and the railway does not run it.
